After School Clubs Spring 1

 

TAG RUGBY AFTERSCHOOL CLUB

Tag Rugby afterschool club is back up and running. First session back the students look so impressive. The fact that the students are all learning of each other is a great sight to see. This term the club main focus is that students apply the skills they have learnt in game related situations.

 

FOOTBALL CLUB GIRLS

Girl’s football club started off with a bang! Knowing that they just need to win three more games to win the league which would be great achievement for them and the school. First session back the girls wanted to welcome the new additions to the team which was so good to see. The girls have created a strong bond with each other helping each other to improve their football skills and socially skills. This term the girls will be taught about different positions in football also how that position is played and what position suits them best.

 

FOOTBALL CLUB YEAR 3 AND YEAR 4

Year 3 & 4 football club this term will be focusing on more game related drills to help them understand the rules of football. This will give more of an understanding how the sport of football is played.

 

FOOTBALL CLUB YEAR 5 AND YEAR 6

Year 5 and 6 football club this term will be working on positioning when attacking and defending. Positioning is so key in football and it’s a perfect time to work on this especially knowing we have important league matches coming up against good schools.

 

BASKETBALL CLUB YEAR 3 AND YEAR 4

Year 3 & 4 basketball club have been working on their ball handling skills which focuses a lot on dribbling and controlling the ball. The students in this club have shown great improvement. Showing that they are capable of being able to dribble with both hands.

 

BASKETBALL CLUB YEAR 5 AND YEAR 6

Year 5 & 6 basketball club is back up and running. This term the club will focusing on different type of passes that are used in basketball such as Bounce pass, Chest pass, Overhead pass, one hand push pass and Baseball pass. By the end of term we are hoping that all of the students are able to apply these different passes in game related situations.

 

 

Street Dance Club

Have been hard at work focusing on more fluent and technical routines. The club have been superb by showing great attitude and excellent determination to get better. The street dance club coach is very proud of the students and is hoping to step up the levels next year. 

 

       

 

                                             

Girls After school Football Club

Girl’s football club have been focusing on improving their technical skills which focuses on dribbling, passing, Control and shooting. The girls have shown unbelievable improvement and showing great attitude to training. The girls are also starting to show a good understanding on how to attack and defend as a team which was seen in there recently match against Edmonton county school which they won both matches. The first match finished 1-0 to Eldon primary and the second game also finished 1-0 to Eldon primary. WELL DONE GIRLS!

Table Tennis Club

During the ten weeks, through a series of structured sessions, the children will learn all the basics necessary to enjoy a great game of table tennis… keeping active, socialising, developing hand/eye coordination, developing core skills, and generally having a great time.

 

Table tennis is also great for fitness and provides valuable time away from video games in a safe and secure environment.

Year 3 and 4 Football Club

Year 3 & 4 football club have been working so hard in the last few weeks. They have shown really good progress especially in game related situations such as 2vs2 and 3vs3. The students in the club should be really proud of themselves
