Leap frog Class

Dear Parents and Carers,

We would like to welcome you and your child to the start of an exciting new academic school year. Leap Frog Class have settled in really well and they have welcomed six new students who are coping remarkably well with their new school environment and routine!

Leap Frog class have already been introduced to our new routine. This half term in English we will be focusing on the story ‘Dear Zoo’.  The children will be working on their phonics, reading, communication and language skills to build up their confidence as well as on developing their listening skills.

Please note that a copy of the timetable is always on display in the classroom.

In Maths, we will be working on patterns and colours, helping the children to differentiate between different colours using hands on activities.

In other areas of the curriculum like Science, we will be exploring changes from liquid to solid and from solid to liquid.  We will investigate this through lots of sensory play activities.

A few reminders for this term:

  • Please note that swimming will be every Friday. Please send your child in with an appropriate kit and towel each week.
  • Food Technology lessons will be every Thursday afternoon.
  • Next half term, your child will bring an interactive book home every Friday, in order to be shared with a family member; please return the book by the following Wednesday so that they can be used by other students.

Many thanks for your continued support,

Ms Stacy, Ms Natasha and Ms Bianca
