Limes Nursery and Oaks Nursery.

Firstly, I would like to welcome your child to Eldon Nursery. The children have all had a busy first week settling into Nursery and are now getting use to the daily nursery routine.

children have been playing outside in the garden climbing on the climbing frame, role playing in the home corner, building and constructing with the large wooden blocks and reading and writing in our literacy area. y have also been exploring inside in their rooms and are now more familiar with the setting and also the teachers and staff.

In our nursery we teach a balanced curriculum though playing and exploring. This half term the children will be learning about Our Local Community as they settle into Nursery. We will be talking about our families, what we like to do at home, talk about things we do as a family and share any special family celebrations. Please let your teacher know of any special events with your family.

During our nursery sessions, the children are provided with

a snack and drink. The snacks vary during the week from

apples, pears, toast, tomatoes, water or milk.

The children finish their sessions with a carpet session where we either singing songs and nursery rhymes or share a story.

Eldon Nursery we ask parents to make a contribution of £3.00 for cooking money for each half term. This money will go towards play- dough ingredients and will also be used to provide cooking activities too. Please also send in a box of tissues with your child.

Finally, we very much look forward to working with your child and your families during the year.

Thank you for your continued support.
